Maggie Cunniffe
Owner
Maggie is the owner and founder of Top Dog Hydrotherapy. Whilst Maggie has had a variety of different careers, Top Dog became her newfound love when she set up the business over 18 years ago. She has been a Small Animal Hydrotherapist for over 17 years and is also a Pet Bereavement Counsellor.

Harvey Standfield
Centre Manager & Canine Hydrotherapist
Harvey is Top Dog’s lead hydrotherapist. He holds both a Level 4 Award and Level 3 certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy. Some of Harvey’s training took place at the highly recognised Greyfriars Rehabilitation Referrals as well as Hawksmoore. Whilst there he also completed a canine massage unit with future plans to develop this further. His qualifications have provided him with Advanced UWTM training, in-depth knowledge on assessing the canine gait and small animal behaviour.
Previous to this, Harvey completed a FdSc in Animal Therapy and Rehabilitation at Oxford Brookes University. Harvey is currently also Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) advocate and withholds a level 1 qualification in this topic. Harvey is working towards his Level 4 Diploma in Canine Therapeutic Massage.

Canine Hydrotherapist
Ellie Townley
Ellie is one of our part time Hydrotherapists. She joined Top Dog in 2014 and since then, has completed a degree in Wildlife Conservation and is now due to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse next year!
Ellie has a Level 3 Diploma in Hydrotherapy and over 8 years experience of treating a variety of breeds and conditions. She has completed an Advanced Underwater Treadmill course a Canine Massage course and so is able to apply a variety of techniques during her treatments.

Leona Meeks
Trainee Canine Hydrotherapist
Leona joined the Top Dog team back in 2024 as one of our assistants. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management from Sparsholt College. Leona has previously worked in a kennels as well as a grooming salon so has lots of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Leona is very passionate in small animal rehabilitation and is currently studying at Greyfirars to complete her training to be a Canine Hydrotherapist.

Cody Standfield
Canine Hydrotherapy Assistant
Cody completed an Animal Management course at Sparsholt College in 2020. Since then, he has gained experience working with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, small animals and reptiles.
Cody has a strong passion for rehabilitation in animals and humans.
In his free time he is currently working to become a Personal Trainer with a strong interests in calisthenics. Cody is Harvey’s younger brother and also looks after Josie.

Laura Cole
Veterinary Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons.) MNAVP
Paddock and Paws Veterinary Physiotherapy is a mobile service run by Laura Cole covering Hampshire and surrounding areas, specialising in Equine and Canine. Established in 2017, after gaining a BSc (hons) degree and becoming a member of the highly commendable governing body National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP).
At Paddock and Paws we can assess your animals in their static and dynamic form, identifying any points of weakness, including the use of a Stance Analyser. Palpation and joint range of movement is also performed to help highlight any imbalances and restrictions. Treatment will also include overlooking your animals home environment and how we can help improve their lifestyle.
Working under veterinary referral, conditions may vary from musculoskeletal, surgical cases, neurological deficits and degenerative problems. Each case is treated as an individual with therapies carefully chosen to benefit the patient, these methods may include massage, TENS machine, PEMFT and Laser. Bespoke exercise and strengthening programmes are made to improve the patient’s individual needs with adaptations carefully planned as the client progresses.
